Mesmerising microbes: bacteria as you’ve never seen it before – in pictures
“As a side hustle he manipulates and photographs the microbial world; his images are collected in a book, Beautiful Bacteria. Taking bacteria from substances such as wastewater, dental plaque or kimchi, Danino lets them multiply in a petri dish, adding dyes. The results are artworks differing from the digital enhancements often made in scientific photography to make images more informative.”
As the #sun doth sink 'tween tower and age-old walls,
The plaza basks in gentle, warm #orange embrace.
In tranquil eve, the #city waits, as #nightfall calls,
Preparing for nocturnal symphony to grace.
I've been away in Staithes for a week so not been on here at all (in fact, I only turned my computer one once, for 20 mins!). Weather has been the same as it has all year to date, dull and overcast though wednesday there was a chance of a sunset so I dashed up the hill and battled the hail, cold and very strong wind at the edge of the cliff to try get the sunset. This was about the best I came away with. #landscapephotography#Landscape#photography#photo#yorkshire#northyorkshire#staithes
Also, BIG #gratitude for my apartment, which lets me see 2 kinds of #CherryBlossoms out back & #city beauty out front even if I'm not well enough to go out 🙌🏽
For this #ThankYouTuesday, I want to express my gratitude to the wonderful Nature, which consistently offers us breathtaking spectacles, whether in the form of lights, colors, scents, or sounds.
