PLEASE: can anyone help ID this butterfly?

Similar in size to an oak hairstreak, but pattern looks different to me. Or maybe just within-species variation?

Location: just outside San Antonio, TX

Boosts are appreciated!! 💚

We've just passed in the Latvian tradition- all based on the Cross-quarter day between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice.
In the Latvian division of the year, this marks the beginning of the
of the land ++ are associated with this time. I have a blog post with pics + vids of bees, flowers etc and link to another post about the roots of the Latvian celebration.

The Open House was a good one, one couple interested. 🤞🏼

We're done in, my COVID shot arm is sore, so it's time for tonight's dopey gif.

Only 15 more days til we drive up! 🇨🇦

    Have a peaceful evening, everyone.

Oh, and to those of you who have been kind enough to ask, I just got word that the house showing today was 👎🏻. This day can’t end soon enough.

@GottaLaff So sorry to hear, Laffy...just remember it only takes ONE person to buy your house. It will happen! (Been there too many times to count! We sold our house on the Big Island while Kilauea volcano 🌋 was erupting big time...)

Next spring, I will have to wrap chicken wire around my peony bushes. The blooms are so heavy, they cause the whole stem to droop down, which basically ruins them. I was able to cut some for my room and for the spot next to my mom's ashes, but most of what's already bloomed can't be used. Which sucks, because they're beautiful.

@plants I'm back to 3 day working weekends, long brutal days, so weekend posts will tend to be on Monday or Tuesday...lol Last week saw plenty of wet heavy and some
are coming along anyway mostly in the garden + wild catkins and first wildflower (not shown here, yet) -this week: cool/rain then mid-20sC!

    Alium roseum

    @gardening @plants

    1/2

I need help identifying this small, woodland flower. I have seen the leaves everywhere but I think this is the first time I've finally seen a flower - so delicate and hangs like a lantern. Southern Ontario woodlands

The bleeding-heart flowers in my neglected "garden," which for over a decade have only grown taller and more numerous every season, are nowhere to be seen this year. Maybe because the tree that had once created a shady corner for them is also gone.

Sometimes I feel like life is just one damn ending after another.

Here's how they looked last spring.
