Wow 300 images captured by Curiosity to build a panoramic survey at her Sol 4175 location, ten days ago. This video shows them at a rate of 10/second. It took about 50 minutes for the rover to complete this scan with her left mast camera.
The second night of the geomagnetic storm was better weather-wise, but there was much less activity during the short time I was outside. It was almost invisible to the naked eye and could only be seen with a camera. But I am thrilled to have been able to photograph the aurora without having to travel hundreds of kilometers to Scandinavia!

I've been away in Staithes for a week so not been on here at all (in fact, I only turned my computer one once, for 20 mins!). Weather has been the same as it has all year to date, dull and overcast though wednesday there was a chance of a sunset so I dashed up the hill and battled the hail, cold and very strong wind at the edge of the cliff to try get the sunset. This was about the best I came away with. #landscapephotography#Landscape#photography#photo#yorkshire#northyorkshire#staithes
I've finished mourning the fact that I'm not on Skye anymore.
Lots of change happening at the moment, personally, but was thankfully able to make space for a solid 13km hike around the gorgeous Feizor area in the Yorkshire Dales.
