I try not to get into debating online. It goes nowhere and ends up with "no you" , name calling, "I thought this was America", sarcasm, and stereo typing groups of people. I'm tired at this point and I'll be pushed into whatever corner you want if drawn into one.

Change is inevitable. It's often not pretty. Freedom and security are always at play. And in the end it's your point of view that's going to be what matters, empathy as well, for other peoples hardships. There is not perfect solution to this, we can have perfect goals and Invision a perfect world. And we can try to get there. But calling all cops bad or all group A or B bad is just part of the problem to begin with. So I can't get behind person or group that pushes that kind of thinking. I have Gay friends, Trans friends, Cop friends, Jewish friends and so on. What I'm not going to do is bandwagon hate any of them. Police have guns because they have to enforce the law. It's scary as hell to be in large group of emotionally charged people with religion backed group thought and a feelings of injustice. But there you have it. Police have to move the people who don't want to move.

War is terrible and should be avoided when possible. War for land or power or religion influence is wrong and should be stopped. I think we can agree. I'm just tired of the victim mentality and stereo typing of each other. It will not work that way. And progress is not a straight line.

And........ I just did exactly what I said I wouldn't do.

There was a lot of "fuck"s in there. Almost too much. Like it was deliberately fucky to make a point. Like they said "Add more fucks to it so parents know this is Disney but not Disneyland. Leave kiddos at home."

I shit my pants and locked my keys in my work truck and blocked the entrance to a gas station on a hot day in L.A once and nobody spoke English. Watery diarrhea running down my leg and I'm sweating while a bunch of men in work trucks yell at me in Spanish. Sun beating down ok me.

Anyway. Life can change fast. And when your at the bottom it can change for the better fast. I locked myself out of my car and pooped my pants cause I felt a great force trying to rush me into a decision. Had I slowed down I might have just shit myself and been able to escape. Take your time here, don't kill yourself. You can do that later. You shit yourselve, don't make it worse by locking yourself out of your life.

Love GraphQL, but oh man is it being over used at my company. Management sees success with one of our large apis, now all the little niche ones have to be migrated and everyone consuming them must migrate as well.

I like it, but the small 2 endpoint APIs that haven't changed in years, have small 5 field models and no related entities, has like 1 or 2 teams that consume them DO NOT need it.

What should I add to my '90s website?

So I'm currently toying around with NeoCities, and decided to trial it by building your classic mid '90s Geocities/Tripod/Angelfire pastiche website.

Some of the most important elements are already in place.

Tile background? Large font? Heading in bright pink with a shadow? Unusual colour choices? Random cat gifs? Under construction gif? Check! Check! Check!

In the true spirit of the '90s DIY web, some more pages (including the links page) are coming soon.

(I'm thinking of adding a page dedicated to either Britney or a nu-metal band.)

There are a few things that I want to add to make it complete, and I'm looking for suggestions.

The first, is to embed a midi file that plays automatically. Any suggestions on the best way of doing this?

Fourth, what's the best way of adding a java chat room in 2024?

Finally, anything else that really needs to be a part of a great '90s website?
