I've tried in multiple browsers, both with and without plugins enabled, yet DuckDuckGo is still failing to provide search results (here, at least) just responding;

There was an error displaying the search results. Please try again.

It's been this way for several hours. Anyone else seeing the same? I'm in the UK.

Does #Microsoft #Word no longer allows people to open .ODT files? Have, a few times, had to safe .ODT files as .DOCX via LibreOffice so that Word users could open it.

.ODT is an open source file format, so its a deliberate choice for Word to not be compatible.

Why do people pay for a shitty product that lacks such basic functionality?

@gombang @jkn @fmy @ncoca Strange stuff. Rightclicking + open: opens it in LibreOffice after a warning to check if the document is from a reliable source plus the notification that the administrator does not allow this action (although we could even choose a Linux laptop where I work).
Just clicking it triggers the same warning, but is won't open.
After that it simply does not open anymore. I can however save docx in odt. 🤔

@EU_Commission Well, the topic I disliked the most is your plan to compromise the online safety, security and privacy of all 450 million Europeans with the plans to scan their devices. In addition, you are not open and transparent enough about these plans, as most of those 450 million do not know you are working on this. You know it does not work and that is in violation with human rights, yet you keep pushing. Why? #CSAM #CSS #Encryption #Security #Privacy #GDPR
