This applies to a lot of physical activities as well. I have a friend who's a really good bowler, and every one of his 300 games (perfect score for you non-bowlers) has been when he's had exactly 2 drinks. He can't do it with less because he gets too nervous - and more means he gets too sloppy and loses his edge.

We joke and call beer "bowling juice".

I only use it on defense missions where I don't have to run. And even then, half the time I forget to set it. I like the light armor best, specifically the Legionnaire Armor so I can yeet stratagems super far.

That's actually the opposite of how it works! There's a video out there (Maybe this one? that explains how patrol spawn rates work.

Counterintuitively, destroying hives and fabricators INCREASES the amount of patrols.

This happened to me yesterday with 4 Bile Titans! I've found in that situation that since you can't possibly kill them all, your best bet is to blow up their tail so they at least can't spit at you.

Then again, maybe the spit would have them kill each other...

Hope you have fun with the game! The only thing that's "weird" that you should know is that the battle pass mechanic in the game is not like most games. There is no time pressure, so you can always access any pass at any time. You can earn plenty of currency in game, and there's no "must have" item in any pass, so I wouldn't recommend spending any real money to buy the passes.

If you're a collector and into that sort of thing, then go right ahead. I just wouldn't feel obligated.

So I read the live updates throughout the day - and was then surprised to see headlines later claiming that Cohen's "knees were cut out from under him."

From what I heard, the defense made a point that on a call where Cohen called Trump's body guard to say the Stormy thing was taken care of, text messages before the call suggest that Cohen was calling to instead complain about a 14 year old that was prank calling Cohen.

The defense also pointed out that Cohen was conservatively getting something like 20,000 calls a year. All in all, the point they were making seemed to be that Cohen couldn't be sure about when the phone call took place and that the exact call he specified early likely was about something else.

So how devastating is that to the prosecution's case? In my mind, it sounds like a reasonable mistake. But is it crucial that they identify exactly at what point in time Cohen talked to Trump? I could see if this was a murder case and they were like "the victim was killed at 8:00, but your call at 8:02 was about something else so you're lying!" But does the exact time and date of this call actually matter?

My kid was playing the game Mafia the other day and mentioned the final scene took place in 1851. I was like "are you sure it was 1851 and not 1951?" He was like, "yeah, I think you're right."

So yeah, kids legitimately and unironically confuse the 1800s with 1900s now. So we got that going for us.

Interesting article. This point bothers me the most, because I feel it's so true deeply in my bones. When discussing Trump's team potentially losing the trial but winning political points, they say:

Practically, the appeals process will inevitably take time, and I doubt if Trump wins the election, he would be sent to state prison. So maybe in the long run, it’s not a terrible miscalculation.

I feel like even a guilty verdict still does not mean Trump will ever see consequences.

Interesting. As much as Trump has been trying to paint Merchan as totally corrupt, he's actually shown significantly more leeway than I think he would show any other defendant. When it came to the contempt charges, he specifically stated that he didn't want to jail Trump because he was a former president and current candidate. With that in mind, I would be shocked if he chooses to jail Trump during the appeals process.

Every once in a while, I'll start a game with a couple friends and we'll pick up a random person. Then after a mission, another friend will be ready to join. I always feel bad kicking just the one random person, so I'll say "thanks for the game everyone, I've gotta go" then will just kick the one guy.

I realize this is ridiculous behavior coming from a grown-ass man.
