Persian Wikipedia (fa.wikipedia.org) just passed its one MILLION article milestone.

Volunteers have built, contributed, protected and loved this wiki for the past two decades, providing free knowledge to more than 130M Persian language speakers.

Persian Wikipedia is being viewed by around 30M people monthly and has had 350M page views every month while only ~1,500 active editors and ~35 admins have been keeping it alive and protecting it from all types of harm.

Here's how the Earth article looked in 2001 when Wikipedia was a month old, long before Wikipedians realized their fledgling online encyclopedia would be read (and edited!) by astronauts in space. Since then, the Earth article has been edited more than 14,000 times. It's a good day to read it!
