Very cool! I do not use Gem, but perhaps at some point the will be available in other form/sources.

I am more of a (though I particularly love good ,) so of course I immediately picked up on the opening parallels to 's , which is why I bought it and read it. A ghost story! Excellent. I have not re-read it recently - I keep telling myself to find what else has written!

So . I actually liked it. The actors give good performances. I would love to see Dakota Johnson in more stuff, she's great.

Now yes, this is begging for a franchise. It brings the down. But I would love for a version with less of that stuff. Stunts were great. I loved how the seeing-the-future was used here. There was good-to-decent (always enjoyable) char work. Props.

I had fun. Would love more without the franchising.

Watched it for the umpteenth time last night. 42 years old and as long as you're not watching the original theatrical release, it's a near perfect film. A pure masterclass.

"Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga" is out and according to the A.V. Club's Tara Bennett (not usually a fan of prequels), it's good. Here's her review of the movie, which stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth. We want to know: Which of these George Miller movies is your favorite?

Is this a sign of the times for the movie business and creative professions in general? The Art Directors Guild (ADG) has suspended its Production Design Initiative program, which gives people hands-on training and job placements, saying, "we cannot in good conscience encourage you to pursue our profession while so many of our members remain unemployed.” The unemployment rate for members of the ADG currently stands at 75 percent. "Let It Be," restored by Peter Jackson and the team that worked on "The Beatles: Get Back," will be released on Disney+ tomorrow (May 8). Variety's Owen Gleiberman compares the new version to the original, which he first watched in the summer of 1970, and says it's "one of the most joyful rock documentaries ever made." What do you think of the constant repackaging of the Beatles archive?

Ooooooh! Our first 50/50 split on a poll. Exactly half of voters are all for the constant repackaging of the Beatles archive, and the rest say let it be. Here's an interview from Paste Magazine with "Let It Be" director Michael Lindsay-Hogg about the unearthing and restoration of his Oscar-winning documentary.

Cannes Film Festival, which begins on May 14, may see its first strike since 1968. Freelance festival workers from a labour group called Sous les écrans, la dèche (Broke behind the screens) want to raise awareness of the growing instability of the film industry in France. The group includes around 200 projectionists, programmers, PR representatives, and ticketing and guest relations workers, most of whom also work at other festivals across France. The collar has a bit of a New 52 vibe, and the logo is very 'Kingdom Come'.

It's been heavily hinted that the film will draw at least some inspiration from Grant Morrison's 'All-Star Superman', which is a series that really captures the heart and compassionate nature of the character. Hopefully the movie will pull that off too.

At this stage everything is just speculation, really, but I'm glad that they are seemingly bringing back the red trunks.
