Has ddg ever really claimed to use its own index? I've always thought of it being a bing frontend

Yeah I tried installing it a year or two ago, but a lot of the hardware on my laptop (only machine atm) was not compatible. It was stuff like the touchpad not even being detected.
I booted into the same install iso a few months ago and somehow it all worked.

It's a shit show sometimes, but it can surprise you

I disagree. I've used KDE's discover thingy to install stuff basically through dnf on fedora.
It's incredibly possible for the average user, who basically just browses the web and maybe writes documents.

Nah if someone was being a douche because they were compensating for a lack of tits, I'd say they're in the small tits club.

Backup cameras are pretty good imo because they let you see the small things you wouldn't be able to see out of a mirror. Helps prevent needless accidents.
If you don't wanna use it, just don't look at it. Most cars should still have rear view mirrors

The only hoops are

  1. Try to install APK, popup appears
  2. Press "go to settings" or whatever
  3. Enable toggle
  4. Possibly try to install APK again if the installation prompt doesn't automatically appear

By default the home button tap is bound to "do nothing", so you're not really losing anything

    My Samsung A11 (android 12) has a "lockdown" option when you held the power button. It would turn off all biometrics and hide notifications. You may have to dig in the settings to enable it, though

    Proprietary software is often made by a corporation, who pays full-time developers. Those full-time developers are given a salary to work on that software. That salary is normally more than what open-source devs make off their software. The team who is paid to work full-time on the software will patch issues faster (theoretically)

    I bet you'll find something wrong with this, but I don't care

    Yeah it is understandable that you would understand it that way. Unfortunately, that's not really what her whole stance is.
    She goes beyond that and tells the people that protections for all trans people (trans women in particular) should be rolled back.
    Take, for instance, her stance on trans women in prisons. She says all trans women should be put in mens' prisons. However, many trans women who are put in mens' prisons are often sexually abused (source will come if I remember)

    All in all, she is a raging transphobe and is buddies with even homophobic figures. I personally find this list of her transphobia quite damning.
