A U.S. judge on Wednesday rejected Tesla's bid to dismiss a lawsuit accusing Elon Musk's electric car company of misleading owners into believing that their vehicles could soon have self-driving capabilities....
Musk recently said they were removing the “nag”, and has said in the past they only have it due to pesky regulations. It seems apparent the system isn’t ready for that, though.
Uh, yeah… check out multimillion dollar product endorsement deals. Caitlin Clark is being paid to endorse Xfinity, Buick, multiple insurance companies and a few things actually related to sports.
I keep hearing about layoffs, studios being closed and how the industry is troubled. Are companies losing money and sales are poor, or is it the same as Google and other companies laying off people just to pump their stock price and make money despite profitability?
Just got a steam deck and immediately checked out the desktop mode, and I was somewhat surprised to see KDE and pacman as opposed to GNOME and apt, I have nothing against the former though a strong preference for the latter, anyone know why Volvo went in this direction?

I'm not judging, I'm genuinely curious. The reason why I'm asking is because in this sort of games I like to make the character resemble me as much as possible in every aspect, so I'm just curious to know what is the motivation behind men that decide to play as a female character.
The only game I’ve tried to make a character resemble myself was GTA5, just because it seemed funny. Otherwise, I make up a character in the same way one might for a work of fiction, and some are male, some are female.
That’s a bit of an exaggeration. I suppose, if you went in a circle or got stuck in traffic, but at an avg of 50mph 40 hours would be 2000 miles. Texas isn’t that large. It could take about 20 hours to get across though.
I grew up saying “you’re welcome” but I don’t interpret “no problem” that way at all. It’s never occurred to me even. I tend to say more “oh, of course!” or “hey anytime” though.
I told a bartender “oh, the pleasure was all ours!” one time just sort of joking around and he said “you have no idea how much”. I wasn’t really sure how to take that.
he hated us in particular (there'd be no reason why though, my gf and I showed up, had a couple glasses of wine, didn't complain that one had gnats in it, got rained on on the patio, went inside and paid and I had just finished tipping 25-30%)
So I have balls and yeah they're the first thing on my body to start to smell. I can skip a shower if I'm in a hurry and I don't smell much. That's with working a job that's usually physical. I was a punk kid fucking punk girls when I was younger and we didn't bathe every day. I didn't notice much smell then....
Yes, the root of the “backlash” was people avoiding gluten after it became somewhat of a health fad. Somehow it became perceived as an elitist affectation, like “they think they’re better than us! They’re too good for our regular food!!”. I don’t really get why people care so much about what other people don’t want to eat though.
Hello! I really, really love bok choy, but every time I prepare it it turns a little sour. My intent is to eat it as part of a simple vegetable stir fry....
Ineffective insulin would cause hyperglycemia, which can have fatal effects if it causes diabetic ketoacidosis, but being unaware and uncharacteristically violent is much more likely to be associated with extreme hypoglycemia, which is a result of an insulin overdose.
I'm thinking in the U.S. and Canada. For example, if you're on vacation, you've checked out of your hotel room and have several hours until your flight, and you have some cans of beer left over. I know you could sneakily drink them in a park or something, but I'm just curious if there's any way to do it that's legal.
Like many laws in the US, it’s a hodgepodge of local, county and state regulations. As someone else here mentioned you can get one small city where you can drink legally in a park and in the neighboring town you technically can’t even drink on your porch. Problem with the latter situation is that not only is it ridiculous, but enforcement is likely to be unevenly centered on people of lower income or whoever the police happen to not like.
Cities such as Denver allow drinking in parks, but make the law difficult to follow - you have to be more than 50 feet from “any roadway, playground, recreation center, or swimming pool”. So I guess in the center of large parks only.
Some wines are fined with micro wheat, and sealing barrels with wheat paste is traditional. Not sure how much it adds up to, though. Other than that, wine is always gluten free, unless you’re counting barley wine.
Celiac technically isn’t an allergy, but yes. Some denominations will give you a gluten free communion wafer. Catholicism, however, requires one that contains wheat although it’s possible to get a very low gluten option that probably won’t trigger a reaction.
Yeah, hopefully it would be clearly labeled. I went to a Presbyterian church one time and at their communion, everyone else got wonderful looking artisan brown bread. They gave me this weird half-and-half cup with brown looking wine and this tiny 1 cm chip of theoretically gluten free cracker sealed on top. It was kinda interesting so I just kept it.
One time we took a boat trip out in a harbor on Long Island Sound that was dominated by a giant Pfizer plant. The entire area smelled like burnt orange cough syrup.
