EU will russische Zinserträge für Aufrüstung der Ukraine einziehen

#Greece’s Navy extended a series of exercises aimed at preventing tankers from transferring Russian oil just miles off its coastline.
The navy said in a notice that it will be conducting exercises until May 19 in the #Laconian Gulf, an expanse of water that’s become well-known in the oil market as a location for Russian oil switching. It had been due to finish on May 9.
With the war in #Ukraine stretching into a third year and the rich getting accustomed to the idea that Russian citizens are no longer welcome in the West, the tried-and-true playbook for transferring fortunes has been effectively vanquished. Even #Cyprus and #Switzerland — some of the favorite spots of old — have introduced bans on providing management services to family trusts with Russian nationals as trustors or beneficiaries.

Composed in 1824, the excerpt from the prelude to Beethoven's Ninth Symphony was adopted as the anthem of the EU in 1985 and is one of the most known symbols of our unity. It speaks volumes through its melody, embodying the shared European ideals of freedom, peace, and solidarity.

From what I understand, everybody within the @EU_Commission was very happy and supportive of the #EUVoice experiment by @EDPS. Everybody within @EC_NGI is absolutely delighted with the work done by @NGIZero, yet, when EDPS asked what branch of the European Union would take charge of the #ActivityPub presence of the Union, everybody turned they heads away.
Yet, the #EU keeps spending tons of public money on X or Meta. This is #shameful.
Now, from May 18, 2024, we, European citizens, are left with no public access to European institutions, since all their communications will go through US-based private companies that the #EU fined repeatedly for breaking the European Law.
What kind of political power is that? Submitting #GDPR protected citizens to the global surveillance of NSA through USA's "National Security Exception to GDPR"?
