I loved macs back when it was more maximalist design and its service was beyond reproach. anyone buying a pc might be installing linux on it. not that many vendors specific to linux.

Im talking about the time when mac enthusiasts would brag about how many more ports a macbook had over a windows laptop. I use the term just because when they went minimalist design coincided when the apple store started acutally said they would not deal with something which was the cable losing their casing which did end up being a design issue so they handled it later but previous to that they would never not do something unless it was obvious you took a hammer to it or something. my last mac was the macbook pro erra with the dvd-i port.

I was initially going to upvote this but the fact is that if someone cannot go to a doctor and get something resolved they will look elsewhere. Whether its a failure of the medical system or limitations of our medical technology there are many reasons someone cannot get treatment or even advice. That being said if one has access to speak to a doctor that should always be their first action.

I know he chose to not have kids and the phrasing I used has been used with him in particular forever to emphasize the extreme challenges he had to deal with. Its great you like a certain more generic phrasing which could be applied to anyone.

Yes as I said. Down the line disabled will be used such and because we cow tow to such people disabled will be such in a decade. Im not honestly engaging in the concept of connotation in that im not sure if that is what we are discussing as it is not a commonly used word so and not using them causes discourse to be rather limited. My god dwarfism is a thing as well and a dwarf implies a different condition than midget. These words actually have meaning outside of use as a derogatory which again is not their main usage. These words were not created as deragatories. Where I grew up in the middle of the block was a place called NSAR. I don't remember what it all stood for but the R was retardation. Now this place housed, fed, educated, and helped adult people with retartdation get jobs. Did they do this to troll them with their deragatory name. No, they did not collect and spend this money for their welfare in a secret mission to be jerks. On the other hand there has been a troll individual using the term in troll posts that I have reported and downvoted because they are just throwing it around as an insult. Due to such usage its now avoided, and it is a freakin medical term. We seen this with things like woke and pepe the frog and I have heard people use special or differentially abled to sarcastically insult someone. We can cede terms all we want but its not going to stop jerks from being jerks and maybe people consider me a jerk for feeling this way but I still feel the way one uses language by some should not have us just throwing things out of the lexicon.

I still haven't found a british 80's rock song that had a pretty popular music video about a kid that grows up into a punk and disapoints his parents. "get on off to school, your son will grow up to be a fool" "hey mama, hey papa, im 19 now. handsome tall and strong" "why the hell do you look at me as if to say what went wrong". have used search and it was one of the things I did to test the limits of ai awhile back. do you know how the leveling gain works? do dwarves with thei less than one level slower than elves with more than one. im thinking its the opposite maybe as ones that are more than one seem to have more special things.

yeah the wikis don't seem to have the info. I think they figure its self evident from the math equation but im not sure if its used on exp gain which it sounds like or exp needed to gain. it makes me wonder because if its on gain it would suggest races with seemingly more special benefits would leve faster. which makes no sense.

I don't like robin but was collecting comics when he took on the nightwing persona and that sorta coincided with teen titans being pretty awesome and suddenly I liked the character. It made me actually like more of the robin characters including dick before the change.

not sure I even went through a goth phase. its a lot like my music tastes. what society calls it has changed but it feels all the same to me. dork, geek, nerd, hippie, hipster. ok a bit of a change from childhood and adulthood there :). I likely do not have a good perspective of that as it basically is when I went to college so I did not have the time I had especially when you take early career as well especially because I went an extra year, did one year in a PhD program and then after a year of work started looking to switch careers By the time I was back into things video/audio/gaming media got so good that text went the way of the dodo for me but even with that I have a good like decade of being not very plugged in.

Not sure if its related but im one of those people who if I say something its also whats going through my head and actually if im alone enough I just start verbalizing the internal dialogue. so much agree. Why do we even allow data brokers? How about something like an entitiy cannot collect information that is not necessary to conduct the business it is in and cannot sell or provide that information to any other entity outside of the one they collected the information from which must be provided free upon request.
