IMO, the best outcome for everyone would be if Biden manages to get the ball rolling on an agreement that sets up a realistic path towards a two-state solution and Saudi-Israeli normalization in the near future. That would be a huge coup.

Normally I can't stomach books written about US politics in the past decade or so—that goes double for anything having to do with Trump—but I will definitely be reading this.

As an old Asia hand myself, I've been familiar with your reporting for a long, long time now, so I know and trust that you'll provide a clear-cut, impartial, and no-BS view on the inner workings of this stuff. 3D stuff just isn't going to happen.

Viable stereo imaging technology has been around since the mid-19th century. VR has been around since the 1980s. This stuff always pops up once a generation under various guises (stereograms, anaglyph, holograms, Virtual Boy, etc.)
and then just as quickly fades back into obscurity once the novelty wears off.

While 3D stuff has a big initial WOW! factor, beyond that there's just something about it that people really don't like.

    Since that whole industry (like the rest of the "supplements" industry) is unregulated it's not even clear what it is you're taking.

    And even if it is what it says it says on the label, chances are it's just placebo. Except in a few instances (e.g. amphetamines, modafinil, and some other Rx-only drugs) there's little-to-no good scientific evidence that supports the claims that any of that stuff improves mental performance—or even that it's safe to consume.

    Frankly, it's just sad to see so many ostensibly left-leaning people who can't even be bothered to make the most frivolous, most inconsequential of sacrifices for the greater good.

    They know full well that by staying active there, they're actively helping to legitimize and financially support Musk and his agenda. But that's no dealbreaker for them because, as their actions clearly prove, to them, vanity and the validation of their egos trump everything else.
