    I’m not too computer savvy and I like how he explains stuff assuming that non-experts are watching and learning. (Like how a lot of stuff programs do they can’t just do on their own - they need to ask the Kernel to basically do it for them. Like reading/writing files, opening net sockets, etc.)

    The attack needs local access to the machine to be run .

    So unless a low level account is left open / with a weak password etc, there's little to fear from that.

    @manucode @nutomic The thing is Wikipedia is losing user' trust because their decisions aren't always clear and some members are clearly tyrannic.

    Maybe it won't replace Wikipedia, but maybe it will send a message to improve.

    I'm tired of hearing about AI, to be honest. I never cared for it. I don't respect people who use generative AI, and I despise companies that sell out people's data to train it. Yes, people will lose jobs to it, but the world will not be better for it. It's just that consequences are rarely immediately apparent in such complex systems.

    As part of the proposals in the Road Safety Package we announced last March, a new digital driving licence will make it easier to prove your identity and driving skills across the EU.

    The package also includes a zero-tolerance policy on drink-driving and tougher cross-border enforcement rules.

    We tried to simulate 1000 viewers on a video, and then on a livestream. (Note that 99% of twitch livestreams are under 1000 simultaneous views.)

    We optimized accordingly... And here are the results: it works!

    With a ~20$ server, PeerTube can now support such usecases.
