The oldest entry on IndieWire's list of the best teen dramas was first broadcast in 1979, but the majority of shows that made the cut are from after 2000, when there was a huge boom in the genre. Here's the magazine's ranking of 42 shows. Which do you think came in at No. 1? Take a look at the list after you've voted and tell us if you think they got it right.

The rating of 's continues to plummet in TMDB, IMDB, Trakt, MyDramaList, thanks to the unrelated English title, & incorrect marketing.

They should've translated the Japanese/Korean titles instead, which set the correct expectations.

The English title sets it as , they should've simply translated it as “The End's Fool” or “An Apocalyptic Fool”; that's the title in Korean & the original Japanese novel . It's a life .

What makes it crazier, in the two official posters from Netflix, they transliterated the original Japanese novel, as if their “English” audience will understand it. They should've transliterated the Korean title instead of using “Goodbye Earth”; since transliteration is fine by them.

S01E17

“hinahanap-hanap” vs “hinahanap” The former means “longing”, the latter is “searching”. So, is longing or searching for ninja boy?

One of my favourite is Rachel at THE PERSPICACIOUS BOOKWORM. If you aren’t already following her , I suggest you rectify that oversight so you can read insightful, well written across a multitude of genres, as well as author interviews and other bookish content. @bookstodon

I'm very impressed with the adaptation of / . Modern production style, not the old Filipino style. No overused special effects. Fun comedy too!

Feedback 1: No reason to copy the Korean pinky swear. The thumb step is a Korean culture to seal agreements. But it's fine. A good nod to the original. ^_^

Feedback 2: Seatbelts, even for passengers on the back. Shows are a good opportunity to instil the importance of seatbelts in the people's mind.

I was surprised to see a real actor (and kid) & a fluent translator in S01E15 of . It's rare in , usually they use non-Filipino actors and make them memorise Tagalog sentences.

Huge plus for the show! @kdrama @kdrama @asiandrama

The only reason I watched () was because of (), or more popularly known with her name as ().

But it was not her show and not her story. She's as good as a support role only, or for comedic purposes.

If you haven't watched this, you'll in for a serious , bordering . It was an adaptation of a Korean by Cheon Kye Young (천계영).

Good story, good series. The format and flow is just something I'm not used to: full on comedy, and halfway through, a sudden switch to melodrama and mystery. It was like they tried to mix various methods in storytelling and genres.

If you only want to watch because of IU, there are other better shows, like () which was made for her. (With a bonus “fashion show” at that, rivalling 's fashion in .)

im getting really tired... -w-

summary of today:

someone on a Japanese hacker forum decided it was a good idea to spam the entire Fediverse because they wanted to cancel a minor that DDoSed a Discord bot which apparently made them lost millions (what?)

A Discord bot. I can't make this shit up man.

The real culprit seems to be someone who goes by mumei in the ctkpaarr.org forums, whose first post was literally a threat to ap12, that if they don't delete their "Kuroneko Server" Discord bot, they will spam every blog, forum and SNS and cancel him.

This shit is ridiculous.

The ap12 account from mastodon-japan was actually fake, and this dude impersonated a minor to get all of the Fediverse (us) to bully him.

The forum admins didn't even stop this. Why? lulz apparently.

Did you know that could be annoying even 3800 yrs ago?

During the first , Iddin-Sin, a wealthy boy from south of Baghdad, was sent away to .

As today, he worried that his clothes were not as nice as those of his classmates, & so wrote a manipulative letter to his mum.

It would’ve taken her months to spin, weave, dye, & tailor new garments.

The letter ends with: “You, you do not really love me.”

In 2017, 7 billion people died from a plague, a mutating . Only very few people were [naturally] immune.

The only option is to undo it. Stop the plague from ever happening in the first place. The virus was artificially made.

Whenever characters have time for a long dramatic conversation while in the midst of a gun fight, I tell myself they activated some sort of time freeze around them. :p

A similar scenario is when there is an urgency to flee and someone chose to stay behind at the last second. At least one character will refuse to leave, and they'll spend a few minutes arguing and stopping that character.

Yep, time froze. Or maybe, the enemy figured out:
"Everyone stop! Let's give them some time to talk."

Haha. It's my personal version of that works across time / regardless if it's fantasy/historic or scifi/futuristic.
