I have been building browsers for 30 years now. First Opera and now Vivaldi. My estimate is that more than 1 billion have used one of my browsers or both. Have you?
I just got a pop up on my iPhone alerting me to a new iPad being added to my iCloud account. It said it has access to my iMessage. This wasn't me, so I was alarmed. I went to check my settings but the only iPad there is the iPad I've owned for several years. All the devices on my account are mine. Has anyone seen something like this? Can you get an alert like this in error or is it more likely to be a problem? I'm researching around but figured a post here couldn't hurt given the crowd.
I would absolutely love to get my hands on the new @loops Android or iOS app by @dansup to start using it and testing it.
As many of you know, I do beta testing all day everyday since I work for a large Android app and most all of the software I use is beta of some form.
It would make for a great experience to dive in early and see what it's all about and report feedback as much as possible to help make it the best app out there today!
This month it is 30 years since I started working on browsers. April 1994 is when Geir and I started working on the Opera browser. We founded the company a year later.
Initially I made the UI, while Geir did a lot of the core.
Since that time I have dedicated myself to making the Web live up to its potential. First at Opera and now at Vivaldi.
If you ever used Opera and you have not tried Vivaldi, I invite you to give us a try!
If you never used Opera or Vivaldi, you are invited as well!
Quick PSA for everyone excitedly using the popover API now it's in all 3 engines. Add an empty pointerdown event listener to your body element, else popover lightdismiss doesn't work on iOS Safari.
Hey, #homeassistant and #iPhone bubble. I'm trying to find a way to detect that my phone is charging in the charger next to my bed. On android, the homeassistant app had a sensor that said "charging wirelessly", which I used for that, but the #iOS app doesn't seem to have that.
