The funny part about the removal of networking from the default #keepassxc package on #debian, is that they did it for "security" reasons, without thinking that the MOST INSECURE way to transfer a #password to your #browser is via the CLIPBOARD. Absolutely every running app or service can read the clipboard! And yet, that's the default way they expect users to do it now!
I have been building browsers for 30 years now. First Opera and now Vivaldi. My estimate is that more than 1 billion have used one of my browsers or both. Have you?
Is there a Chrome extension that reproduces Microsoft Edge's ability to copy a website's URL as its title, hyperlinked to the page's URL? #Browser#TechSupport
This month it is 30 years since I started working on browsers. April 1994 is when Geir and I started working on the Opera browser. We founded the company a year later.
Initially I made the UI, while Geir did a lot of the core.
Since that time I have dedicated myself to making the Web live up to its potential. First at Opera and now at Vivaldi.
If you ever used Opera and you have not tried Vivaldi, I invite you to give us a try!
If you never used Opera or Vivaldi, you are invited as well!
Dear Microsoft, why cannot I uninstall Microsoft Edge on Windows? https://www.ghacks.net/2024/04/17/dear-microsoft-why-cannot-i-uninstall-microsoft-edge-on-windows/
If Edge is the only browser, there is no apparent option to install another browser.
Windows users who run into the issue may want to fire up the command prompt and use winget to install a different browser. The command winget install Mozilla Firefox installs Mozilla's Firefox web browser on the device. You can also use it to install other browsers, e.g., chrome. #windows#browser
what #opensource web #browser do you use on your #linux and why? i stick with #firefox: its support of wayland is awesome, it can do theming and has all types of extentions i need. also: android client, inbuilt password management and opensource centered company behind it
We at @Vivaldi continue to be the only browser company all in on Mastodon and the Fediverse.
We have made our own instance, Vivaldi Social. Any user that has a Vivaldi account for sync or other services, can easily enable a presence on Vivaldi Social.
We have integrated Mastodon as a Web panel into Vivaldi.
We include links to Vivaldi Social into Vivaldi.
We also work on integrating our blogs and forums into the Fediverse.
We hope others will follow. Mozilla has talked a lot and we hope they will join us fully soon.
Nuestros amigos de Adslzone nos han mencionado como #MidoriBrowser es uno de los navegadores mas ligeros en el mercado, enterate más pulsando click en el enlace de la noticia.
I've installed the #Arc#Browser for #Windows and immediately have some mixed feelings. I'm very conservative on tabs and the tab-sidebar feels like a massive waste of space... Despite that, and the disappointment of Chromium engine, it looks and works quite ok... :bulbasaurroll:
