We may think its obvious; that all we need to do is explain the right way then everyone will do the right thing.

But if it is clear that this strategy isn't working well enough, then doesn't that suggest that we are asking the wrong question?

How we beat back the corporate takeover of America:

    1. Break up corporate monopolies

    2. Continue building union power

    3. End Citizens United and get big money out of politics

Let’s keep working to unrig the system.

Where does shutting down the Permanent War Complex fit into your thinking Robert?

Imo too many powerful people globally are making shed loads of money on the backs of , , , , , , and the rest … and that’s even before you factor in the $billions that are being dished out in bribes & back-handlers to politicians, brokers, CEOs and the rest of the arms trade pipelines!

I’ve just watched, and been totally shocked by, the talk that Andrew (Exec Director of in the UK and author of ‘The ’) gave in Canada in 2017 entitled ‘The Shadow World of the Global Arms Trade’!

Seems to me you can try ‘beating back the corporate takeover’ of the US/ UK/ EU etc all you like along the lines you suggest above, but unless the conditions that allow the Permanent War Complex to dictate policy around war instead of diplomacy you’ll be beating your head against a proverbial brick wall!

    Thoughts?

i've been saying the mask is completely off and that they no longer feel the need to hide behind twisted words and pretense and the one main reason for that is in that had literally been able to get away with the past 4 months of televised slaughter and starvation in so the fact is, israel had now shown the a revised version of what is (publicly) permissible and acceptable.

I'm unashamedly a world federalist. If humanity wishes to survive into the future and become a spacefaring civilization, then it must eventually unite. A direct democratic global federation should be the ultimate goal. Let's start with a United States of , and a North American Union. Gradually, the rest of the world should follow suit. East Asia and the Middle East are in dire need of their own supranational federations as well.

Two things mustn't be allowed to happen:

    1. mustn't be allowed to redraw 's borders.
    2. mustn't be allowed to take / or expel the Palestinians from their lands.

If the US/West fail to stop these 2 things, then the right of conquest, which became illegal after the end of WW2 according to UN intl law, will be normalized again. And if that happens, then the world will head towards WW3. It'll encourage copycats to do the same thing.
